Recognized with the 2018 Hero of the Year Award by EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA), the 77,000 sq. ft. furniture showroom features a modified BASF Coral Stone Rendering on the project. The rendering utilized two textured acrylic finishes to create the look of cut coral. The first application is Finestone Rough Swirl followed by a second application of Finetex Finish. Specially engineered scaffolding was created to accommodate the compound curving at the top of the 30 ft. wide x 65-70 ft. high panels. Additionally, the project was designed with no aesthetic or working joints.
The bold design incorporates literal “design flexibility”, as it’s curved, monolithic walls twist into the soaring sky. The Pebbletex CI-DCA system installed provides the drainage specified, as well as energy efficiency beyond most other claddings. The cut coral rendered finish creates a high-end aesthetic that is unrivaled by any furniture showroom in North America.
