This Homewood Suites by Hilton in Myrtle Beach, SC required a multi-clad façade and compliance with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), including the use of continuous insulation and air barrier behind all cladding. Finestone’s Pebbletex CI-DCA with MaxGrip Veneer Mortar was the ideal solution to meet these requirements, because the system includes continuous insulation, air/water-resistive barrier and drainage for effective heat, air and moisture control. The system also features MaxGrip Veneer Mortar, an innovative setting bed mortar that can be used to adhere thin brick and a variety of other masonry veneers. More than 1,000 bags of MaxGrip Veneer Mortar were used to complete this project.
